Episode 6

What on Earth！

Summary：

In the year before Seldon’s trial, in the Galactic Calendar year 12066, Daneel Olivaw set out on a journey to explore humanity’s oldest home planet, Earth, to strengthen the “psychohistory”of Hari Seldon and the two Foundations by inviting Gaal Dornick from Synnax. Eventually, Daneel found a planet that resembled an oceanic world beyond the half of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Renamed as Huumin, Daniel infiltrated Synnax University and awaited Gaal Dornick. Gaal, for some reason, began to endlessly confide in Hummin about what he had discovered. Daneel, deeply impressed by Gaal Dornick’s extraordinary insights, was left speechless despite being a robot.

This exploration by Daneel was about to mark the beginning of a new epic for the Foundation. The reason for aiming for Hari Seldon’s homeland was to challenge the human potential that robots lacked with his Zeroth Law. A sense of something new about to emerge!

Following Daneel’s instructions, Gaal arrived at Trantor with Daneel’s substantial credit bag. However, upon meeting Hari Seldon, both of them were immediately put into custody for the trial.

Hari’s prediction stated a 92.5% probability of the Trantor Galactic Empire’s downfall within the next 500 years.

Lors Avakim, sent by Hari Seldon as a defense attorney, explained to Gaal the circumstances that led to this situation on behalf of Hari Seldon.

After being released, Gaal was once again briefed by Hari Seldon on the plans regarding psychohistory and the Foundation. Another mission was also revealed to Girl.

As Hari began to discuss the requirements for the construction of the Mule, and when he was about to reveal Prime Minister Demerzel’s secret, Huumin (Demerzel) suddenly appeared from behind and subdued Hari.

To understand this, we need to touch upon the events of Hari’s escape about half a century ago. Hari, who had come from his hometown of Helicon to Trantor for a conference, inexplicably found himself running around Trantor against his will. At the end of his escape, he realized that his previous uncertain speculations were perfectly correct. Someone had plotted Hari’s escape. Someone had guided him to devise the central principle of “psychohistory” he was aiming for. The need to overcome something, as demonstrated in the Y（wye） Rebellion, to strengthen the new organization supporting the “psychohistory” Hari sought, as well as the facility to maintain it. The individuals behind this were Chetter Hummin, Robot Daneel Olivaw, and Prime Minister Eto Demerzel, with Dors Venabili also arranged by him.

Returning to the present, Hummin appeared nonchalantly and delivered mixed news to Hari.

Upon the joyous reunion with Hummin, Gaal suddenly felt drowsy and fell into a deep sleep.

It seemed like Gaal had been subjected to hypnosis as she woke up to find herself on an unfamiliar spaceship. A beautifully dressed woman stood before her, speaking to her in a friendly manner.

Chapter 16

“Wanda anticipated her end and summoned me to the planet Ios. It was a dark and cold planet. Before taking my last breath, she whispered in my right ear, ‘You resemble your grandmother so much! Your grandmother Dors threw ten men in an instant to protect Hari. You’ve heard that story, right? On the contrary, your mother was very beautiful and kind. I wanted to meet your sister! Those four flowers, well．．． Don’t be sad. Even if I’m gone, my dream won’t disappear！I entrust that dream to you.’Then I felt like there were two people in the shadows of the room. One of them seemed to be sobbing.”

Gaal：Where am ？！Where is Hummin？ Where is Professor Seldon？

Wanda: You are Gaal, right？I thought you were skinny, but you look like a credit bag. We are inside the Spaceship Sympathic Harvey. We are heading towards Earth as per Uncle Hummin’s instructions. It’s just the two of us,
nice to meet you！

Gaal：Earth？！Not Terminus?！？Who are you？！ What on earth is happening？！
