    《Archive Ark》

The warm glow of dusk streamed quietly through the windows of the wooden house.

The wind of Planet Smyrna gently swayed the forests after the harvest, carrying the fragrance of dried herbs throughout the room.

At that moment, a single book slid silently from the back of a bookshelf, as though an unseen hand had gently pushed it onto the floor.

“…Oh?”

The young Apoliana picked it up.

“Mother, where did this book come from? Is it yours? I’ve never seen it before.”

Embossed in soft golden letters upon the cover were the words:

“The Book of Love and Wisdom for Children.”

Its cover was adorned with beautiful illustrations of the Galactic Tree, countless stars, and flowers unlike anything she had ever seen.

Alcia shook her head in astonishment.

“I’m sorry, Apoliana. I don’t know either. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this book. Where could it have come from…?”

They looked at one another.

They had lived in this house for many years.

There were no hidden rooms.

Yet this book seemed to have appeared as if someone had delivered it through a tear in space-time.

Alcia quietly opened the cover.

Inside the back cover, neat little words were written:

“Intuition. Empathy. Connection. Harmony. Union. Joy. Fulfillment. Rebirth.”

“It sounds like a blessing…”

Then, on the reverse side, only one handwritten word appeared in bold black ink:

“Danshari.”

It was not printed.

Someone had written it with a powerful brush.

“This handwriting is different…”

Alcia held her breath.

“What are we meant to let go of…?”

Apoliana tilted her head.

“Perhaps we’ll understand after we’ve finished reading it.”

Alcia embraced the book.

At that instant, a distant memory returned with a familiar fragrance.

“It was the night before we left Planet Lilinas…”

A violent storm raged outside.

Unable to sleep, she drifted into a dream.

There stood a woman.

Silver hair.

Eyes as gentle as dawn.

It was the legendary Dora.

“Do not be afraid, Alcia.”

Her voice was softer than the wind.

“I am the other Dora.

The guardian of Apoliana’s lineage.

You are walking the right path.”

“Weren’t you afraid?” the young Alcia asked.

“The future is not what should frighten you.

Losing hope is.”

Dora smiled.

“Restore nature,

and the galaxy will be restored.

Human hearts,

all life itself,

will shine once again.”

When Alcia awoke, her fear had vanished.

From that day onward she migrated to Planet Smyrna and began practicing agroforestry upon the devastated land.

The forest returned.

The rivers flowed again.

Birds sang.

People smiled once more.

Alcia smiled softly.

“My life has truly been a happy one.”

Outside, young trees shimmered in the evening breeze.

“I have no regrets.

And…”

She looked at her daughter.

“I was blessed with another Apoliana…

the greatest treasure of all.”

The girl smiled shyly.

“I’ll treasure this book forever.”

“I’m sure it will guide you toward a new future.”

At that moment, Apoliana gazed into the star-filled sky.

“Mother?”

“Yes?”

“I think it’s almost time for us to leave this world.”

Alcia quietly watched her daughter.

“Perhaps for Planet Neo-Aether…

or even for a world farther beyond.”

There was an unmistakable certainty in her voice.

“I visited the Valley of Fragrance the other day.”

Though winter was approaching,

lavender,

rosemary,

thyme,

sage,

and unknown galactic herbs

still bloomed gracefully in the quiet breeze.

The flowers that had passed their peak were not lonely.

Instead,

they released a profound fragrance,

as though cherishing life until its very last moment.

“Mother…

Lavender was once called ‘Separate Shiso,’ wasn’t it?”

Alcia nodded.

“It has long been said to heal the illnesses of people throughout the galaxy.”

Suddenly Apoliana remembered the final handwritten word.

“Danshari.”

“Mother?”

“Yes?”

“I think I finally understand.”

Alcia looked at her in surprise.

“Danshari doesn’t mean throwing things away.”

The girl’s eyes sparkled like stars.

“It means discovering the value of what remains.”

Flowers that bloom through winter.

Herbs whose fragrance lingers after the harvest.

They are not endings.

They are seeds for the next life.

“Just as agroforestry restored the forest,

the remaining herbs

will now heal people’s hearts.”

The girl stood.

Within her eyes reflected a future no one had ever seen.

“I want to transplant the Valley of Fragrance across the galaxy.”

“To every planet.

To lands scarred by war.

To worlds suffering from illness.”

“If the fragrance can reach them,

I believe hearts can be reborn.”

Alcia gazed at her daughter.

For a moment,

the girl’s profile overlapped with the Dora she had once seen in her dream.

She smiled quietly.

“What a beautiful dream… Apoliana.”

Then it happened.

Without anyone touching it,

the book slowly turned to its final page.

There,

a line of text that had never existed before gradually appeared.

“The time of the Second Apoliana’s departure is near. Her fragrance shall cross the galaxy and awaken the memory of life itself.”

Neither of them spoke.

The book had not yet revealed everything.

Yet a new chapter in galactic history had quietly begun.

To Be Continued.
