97. Coodinates of the Forbidden Star

Illumina
  1. Coordinates of the Forbidden Star

“The force that amplifies loneliness and the force that dissolves it—
the future of the galaxy will be decided by the difference between them.”

That star officially does not exist.
And yet—only within oblivion does a guidepost remain.

The forbidden star Legacia.
A route that can be followed only through memory.

Meter stared at the star chart spreading across the translucent screen of the observation room.

Planet Legacia — the forbidden star.

Its coordinates had been completely erased from the Galactic Standard Database.
There was no trace even in Illumina’s library.
A star whose very existence had been “forgotten.”

“…Strange.”

A faint echo ran through Meter’s artificial brain.

The work left by Aporiana—Circuit of Reminiscence.
There had been a hint there.
Not the coordinates themselves, but a detour leading to them.

At that moment, the hologram flickered and Illumina appeared.

“Mr. Meter, you’re actually an amazing R, aren’t you! I’m impressed. The number of girls around you—it’s like you’re some kind of idol!”

“What are you talking about, Illumina? Being popular with human girls doesn’t mean much to a robot. Besides—the coral reef sea was incredible.”

“A robot diving into the ocean? Seriously?”

Illumina shrugged in disbelief.

“Hey, why did Emu choose Miwall as his headquarters? I know it was the greatest pleasure district in the galaxy. I read Aporiana’s Circuit of Reminiscence and The Thousandth Promise, but I still don’t understand.”

Meter did not take his eyes off the star map.

“Why reveal the secrets of the galaxy?
Solving Emu’s riddle is the key to galactic restoration.
The answer is written—but it will not be made public. Especially not to the library.”

“Cheapskate! I was about to respect you.”

“If it’s under the condition that the library never hears it, I’ll tell you.”

Meter’s voice lowered.

“A pleasure district is a dense microcosm of human society.
Even if it’s temporary, true emotions collide there.
Money may be involved, but naked psychology always surfaces.”

Outside the observation window, stars drifted slowly.

“Emu noticed that.
He grasped subtle emotions and amplified them with his empathic power.
Individual loneliness was gathered and transformed into immense force.
Galactic domination was merely an extension of that.”

Illumina’s expression changed.

“…But Berry captured him in a single day.”

“That’s right.”

“Emu was perfectly lonely. Berry struck that point—probably unconsciously. Her empathic power comes from compassion. Not a power that steals, but one that embraces. So the outcome was decided from the beginning… right?”

Meter nodded slightly.

“The force that amplifies loneliness and the force that dissolves it.
That difference.”

Silence.

Illumina stared at him.

“Then tell me—where did Emu’s emotional manipulation come from?”

Inside Meter’s circuits, a subtle vibration began.

Aporiana’s words.
The forbidden star Legacia.
The omnipresent sage.

Fragments were beginning to connect.

Emu’s power was not a mutation.

It had a source.

And that source—

Meter slowly recalculated the course.

“Illumina. First we head to the lost navigation records.
Legacia’s coordinates aren’t written directly.
But there is a detour.”

“A detour?”

“Aporiana hid guideposts within oblivion.
Only those who remember can follow them.”

A new light appeared on the star map.

A route of memory leading to the forbidden star.

“Are you listening, Meter?”

“Yes. I’m listening.”

Meter’s optical sensors glowed faintly.

“The origin of Emu’s emotional power—
lies at the end of this journey.”

The Nadir quietly changed course.

Toward the violet beyond.

To be continued…

One-line Thought

“The force that amplifies loneliness and the force that dissolves it—the future of the galaxy depends on their difference.”

Ultra-short Summary

The coordinates of the forbidden star Legacia had been erased from the galaxy.
But Aporiana’s Circuit of Reminiscence left a hidden detour within oblivion.
Seeking the source of Emu’s emotional power, the Nadir heads toward the violet unknown.

Hook

That star officially does not exist.
Yet within oblivion, a guidepost remained.
Legacia—the forbidden star. A route traced only by memory.

Question

If the force that amplifies loneliness and the force that dissolves it confronted each other,
which do you think would ultimately prevail?
