The Great Adventure of Meter | Illumina Part II – Episode 4
Galactic Crossing – AI Illumina – The Restoration of the Starship Nadir

Galactic Era—
After four years, Meter’s body was fully restored.
His Anti-Quantum neural circuits, sensory elements, and self-repair frame were completely reconstructed, and he returned once more to the starship Nadir.

The Nadir, too, had miraculously revived.
AI Illumina remained, as always.

Her core resides deep beneath the Neo-Aether Federation Dictionary Compilation Library.
As long as a receiver is secured, she can project herself anywhere in the galaxy—a distributed consciousness entity. That is Illumina.

Currently, the Nadir was in orbit around Planet Synapse.
Auroras rippled through the magnetic field, pale blue bands of light stretching into space.
Meter occasionally conducted surface explorations.
Within him lingered an unmistakable determination to cross the galaxy once more.

But—

There was a strange change within him.
Daydreams.

During navigation, or when gazing at the auroras, his internal circuits slipped into past memories.
It was as if his entire being were filled with memories of Aporiana Perigaul.

Illumina had long detected the signs.
Psychological scans. Emotional waveform analysis. Memory ignition pattern matching.
And yet she deliberately waited—
for the moment when Meter would speak of it himself.

The Ignition Point of the Daydream — Aporiana

The memory begins on a night awaited for fifty years.

The reunion of Aporiana Perigaul and Anthor Sigma.

Meter’s internal memory domain opens.

The scent of lavender.
The wooden stairs of an old mansion.
Branches brushing against a window.

Aporiana knew that night would come.
The reunion promised fifty years before.

Though burdened by public duties, she had secretly continued writing:
Unlocking the Key of Reminiscence — its sequel.

A century earlier, the miraculous woman Berry Perigaul had told the tale of Planet Miwall.
On that lineage, Aporiana placed her own life.

A branch touched the window.
She smiled.

—He has come.

She walked to the entrance without hesitation.

Before unlocking the door, she confirmed one thing:
Was he a human of Neo-Aether?

It was proof of the age—and a resonance of the heart.

Beyond the door stood Anthor Sigma.

He had not forgotten the song.
“We are the children of the galaxy.”

For fifty years, he had practiced every single day.

“I walked from Newton,” he said.

He had stopped by the old lavender fields—the land of the Perigaul family, also called Excel Farm.

Scent transcends time.
It is the key that unlocks memory.

Aporiana quietly welcomed him in.

That night, remembrance became the present.

Present — Inside the Nadir

“…Again, Meter.”

Illumina’s voice was gentle, yet analytical.

“You are showing responses close to what humans call tears.”

“If I were human,” Meter replied slowly,
“I would probably be crying.”

Auroras of Planet Synapse reflected across the bridge.

“As the latest Illumineshonner equipped with full psychological scanning, I am aware of all your smirks and daydreams.”

Meter answered lightly:

“Four years ago, I was nearly shut down.”

The incident—

An error in cosmic current data.
Outdated navigation from Neo-Aether.

A brief silence.

Then Meter spoke:

“Illumina. How far to the memory coordinates of Berry Perigaul on Planet Miwall?”

It had been one of Aporiana’s final words.

Reminiscence is not sentiment.
It is coordinates.
It is a route.

The past is a galactic map toward the future.

The Nadir’s engines began to hum once more.

The galactic crossing was about to begin again.

To be continued…
