  1. The Revival of Meter — The Revival of Ship Nadir
    Illumina – Episode 3

When Meter regained consciousness, the first thing he felt was a strange sense of déjà vu.
The faint vibrations transmitted through the metal floor, the steady rhythm marked by the circulation systems—

they were exactly the sensations of a spaceship deeply engraved in his memory.

“Meter, Meter. Are you awake?”

The voice pouring down from above slowly rebooted the thought domains that had been at rest.
The holographic projection device glowed softly, and what appeared there was Illumina,
a virtual AI of the Federal Library and Dictionary Compilation Archive of Planet Aether.

“Welcome back aboard Ship Nadir.
It has been exactly four years since your return.”
Meter slowly raised himself and realized that he was indeed inside Ship Nadir.

The structure of the bridge, the arrangement of the bulkheads, the faint creaking of the hull—
everything was exactly as it had been back then.
That, in itself, felt strangely inexplicable.

“Why… am I here?

Illumina, are you safe?”

He asked while surveying the interior of the ship.
Considering the catastrophe, the very existence of this vessel seemed unbelievable.

“This is the orbit of Planet Synapse, four parsecs away from Planet Ios,”
Illumina said calmly.

“Dora Wave brought you here while you were still dormant.”

She then added further details.
“Ship Nadir was by no means unharmed.

Just after you exited the ship for repairs, a second burst occurred, and the hull suffered fatal damage.”
But that was not the end.

Dora Wave and the robots under her command arrived, and Ship Nadir was restored.

The material used for the repairs was a pale purple liquid—lavender extract.
“That repair method truly surprised me,”
Illumina said frankly.

“Why lavender?”

Meter fell silent for a moment, as if tracing distant memories.
“My body was saved by the same substance.
I soaked in lavender hot springs for over ten hours every day.

The temperature was abnormally high, but… Q Leopard Ensnovi said it had meaning.”
A pale violet bath and a strong, sweet fragrance.

They inevitably reminded him of the farm of the Aporiana Perigaul family—
commonly known as the Perigaul Farm.
“Thanks to that, I was able to maintain operation.
Now… my condition is good.”
At that phrasing, Illumina showed a slight sense of discomfort.
“How curious.

You are a robot, yet you speak of being ‘saved’ and of your ‘condition’…
It sounds almost like the language of a Homogene.”
At those words, Meter’s computational circuits reacted sharply.

“What did you just say?
Illumina—were you aware that the word ‘Homogene’ has two meanings in the Sirius common language?”

“Two meanings?”

“One is ‘human-like being.’

The other is—‘the omnipresent sage.’”

After a brief silence, Illumina replied with faint amusement.

“Well then…
Meter, you truly are a genius of interpretation and translation.”

Ship Nadir continued to orbit Planet Synapse in silence.

Within that vessel, Meter Echo had not yet fully understood what his own “revival” truly meant.

Only one thing was certain:
he was no longer merely a machine with an anti-quantum brain,
but a being gradually standing at the boundary between Homogene and the omnipresent sage.
